The Lady Of Shanghai / Orson Welles as an auteur

Orson Welles was most known for his long tracking shots within his films, and also for his          mise-en-ecene and cinematography. His use of long tracking shots within films is shown in the scene when Orson Welles character is walking the lady back to the car. This shows the audience a sequence where the two characters are walking from the horse and carriage to the car and where the camera performs a tracking shot, which is, as stated before one of Orson Welles Techniques in which he is most known for and in which gave him his status as an auteur.

His first film was Citizen Kane, which was release in 1941, in which he co-wrote, produced, directed and starred in as Charles Foster Kane. The film Citizen Kane is still ranked as one of the best films to be produced. In the film Orson Welles also uses his commonly known Auteur techniques such as his long tracking shots within films, his rise-en-scene and additionally his cinematography and ice it was his first film it shows the he had quickly developed his style as an Auteur/Film director.
